PGDM at ASCI

Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) is an initiative by the Government of India and the industry and works as an autonomous institution.

The PGDM programme is aimed at developing tomorrow's leaders in the industry. The two-year diploma programme which is equivalent to a Master's degree in Management (as approved by AICTE) has been designed to meet the industry's expectations from budding managers of the next generation. Many new areas are covered in the programme including Analytics, Big Data and Innovation Management. The programme will also allow students to take up dual specialization. ASCI has earned over the years a great deal of goodwill and networks in the industry and this programme will benefit from this.

Apart from traditional specializations in Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Finance Management and Operations Management, the programme will provide an opportunity to students to take up new areas of specializations in Innovation Management.

Delivered by a highly experienced faculty, this program also allows the students to acquire specialization in functional areas of management as well as in sectoral areas of Energy Management, Urban Infrastructure Management, Health Systems Management and Environment Management.

AICTE Approved - Full Time Course

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management program offered by ASCI is approved by AICTE for the academic session 2019-20. This is a two-year full time management program.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

2. A valid score from any of the management entrance exams approved by AICTE, viz, MAT, CMAT, CAT, GMAT, XAT, ATMA

3. Selection shall be based on a combination of factors including academic credentials, scores in the qualifying examination. Personal Interview and a demonstrated interest in management field.

Well planned curriculum with industry immersion

The curriculum consists of compulsory courses as well as electives. In each semester, the student will have to take 7 courses i.e 28 courses in the entire 2 year programme. Of these, 20 courses are compulsory and 8 are electives.

Dual Specialization: Each student can choose dual specialization by selecting 4 elective courses in each specialization subject. The specialization subjects may be from functional areas of management or in sectoral areas.

Internship and Dissertation: Each student will have to undergo an internship with an organization at the end of the 2nd semester for a period of 2 months. In addition, they will also have to conduct a dissertation at the end of the 4th semester.
